Joel Unruch is Accenture's general counsel and corporate secretary, leading the company's global legal function and a global team of legal, contract management and government relations professionals, and is a member of the Global Management Committee. He was appointed general counsel, secretary and chief compliance officer effective September 1, 2019.
He joined Accenture in 2011 as assistant general counsel and assistant secretary and became corporate secretary in June 2015, having previously been corporate counsel at Amazon.com and an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.
