He is an independent investor with multiple private-equity investments in the airline and aviation-services sector, and from 1990 until his retirement in June 2022 was an investment banker at Raymond James Financial, where in 2000 he founded the firm's aviation-sector investment banking practice. His transaction work spanned IPOs and other public offerings, private equity and debt raises, and M&A advisory for airlines and aviation-services clients. He holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
