Toby Hong Xu has been Alibaba Group's chief financial officer since April 2022. He joined Alibaba Group in July 2018 and served as deputy chief financial officer from July 2019 to March 2022.

Before joining Alibaba he was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers for 11 years, having joined the firm in 1996. He graduated from Fudan University in Shanghai with a bachelor's degree in Physics in 1996 and is a member of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
