Christopher James is a Senior Managing Director, Global Head of Blackstone's Tactical Opportunities group and Chairperson of Blackstone Private Equity Strategies (BXPE). He established Tactical Opportunities in 2012 and previously executed strategic initiatives across asset classes, including the firm's initial public offering and investments in GSO, Patria Investimentos and Strategic Partners.

He holds a BS from Duke University and a JD from Harvard Law School.
