Acquired the Wi-Fi networking vendor via a cash tender offer to add wireless LAN products to Fortinet's portfolio.

On July 8, 2015, we completed our acquisition of Meru Networks, Inc. ("Meru"), a provider of Wi-Fi networking products and services. In connection with the acquisition, we paid $41.8 million.

Bought the network security monitoring and analytics provider to extend the Security Fabric with security data analytics, visibility and threat intelligence (basis of FortiSIEM).

On June 7, 2016, we completed our acquisition of AccelOps, Inc. ("AccelOps"), a provider of network security monitoring and analytics solutions, for total cash consideration of $22.1 million, net of cash received.

Acquired the network access control (NAC) vendor to extend the Security Fabric with device visibility and IoT/endpoint access security (basis of FortiNAC).

On June 4, 2018, we acquired all outstanding shares of Bradford Networks, Inc. ("Bradford"), a provider of network access control security products and services.

Acquired the Edinburgh-based cloud insider-threat detection company to add user and entity behavior analytics (UEBA) to the platform.

On October 22, 2018, we acquired all outstanding shares of ZoneFox Holdings Limited ("ZoneFox"), a privately held cloud-based insider threat detection and response company headquartered in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Acquired the endpoint detection and response (EDR) provider to enhance the Security Fabric with automated endpoint protection (basis of FortiEDR).

On October 28, 2019, we acquired all outstanding shares of enSilo Limited ("enSilo"), a provider of endpoint detection and response products and services. The purchase price for enSilo was $15.8 million.

Acquired the security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) vendor to add automated incident response to the platform (basis of FortiSOAR).

On December 12, 2019, we acquired all outstanding shares of CyberSponse, Inc. ("CyberSponse"), a provider of security orchestration, automation and response products and services. The purchase price for CyberSponse was $26.1 million.

Acquired the SASE cloud provider to advance Fortinet's zero-trust network access and Secure Access Service Edge cloud roadmap.

On July 20, 2020, we acquired all outstanding shares of OPAQ Networks, Inc. ("OPAQ"), a privately held Secure Access Service Edge cloud provider. The preliminary purchase price for OPAQ was $8.0 million in cash.

Acquired the SaaS network/IT infrastructure monitoring company to build FortiMonitor for unified network and security operations management.

On December 9, 2020, we acquired all outstanding shares of Panopta Holdings LLC ("Panopta"), a privately held SaaS platform innovator that provides visibility, automated management and alerting, and remediation for enterprise networks and infrastructure. The preliminary purchase price for Panopta was $31.9 million in cash.

Asset acquisition of the multi-cloud data center security platform to protect against lateral movement of threats such as ransomware.

On March 10, 2021, we closed an acquisition of certain assets and liabilities of ShieldX Networks Inc. ("ShieldX"), a provider of a security platform focusing on protecting multi-cloud data centers from the risk of lateral movement ... for $10.8 million in cash.

Acquired a 75% controlling stake in the Japanese network hardware maker to broaden secure-switch offerings integrated with FortiGate; Fortinet later bought the remaining 25% on 2022-10-03 for $13.5 million.

On August 31, 2021, we closed an acquisition of 75% of equity interests as controlling interests in Alaxala, a privately held network hardware equipment company in Japan, for $64.2 million in cash.

Acquired the data-driven cloud security company to add a Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP), forming an AI-driven single-vendor cloud security platform.

On August 1, 2024, we closed an acquisition of Lacework Inc. ("Lacework"), a privately held data-driven cloud security company, for $152.3 million in cash.

On August 5, 2024, we completed the acquisition of Next DLP Holdings Limited ("Next DLP"), a privately held insider risk and data loss prevention company, for approximately $105.0 million in cash.

On December 5, 2024, we closed an acquisition of certain assets and liabilities of Perception Point Ltd., a business specializing in advanced collaboration and email security, for $33.7 million in cash.
