John Rogers, Jr. is Chairman, Co-Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Investment Officer of Ariel Investments, LLC, a privately-held money management firm he founded in 1983. He is a Trustee of Ariel Investment Trust.
In 2008 he was awarded Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson Award, and he served as co-chair of the Presidential Inaugural Committee 2009. On June 15, 2026, Mr. Rogers notified NIKE of his decision to retire from the Board effective as of the 2026 annual meeting; the Company expects to enter into a consulting arrangement with him regarding the future of sport and community engagement.
