Dr. C.C. Wei is TSMC's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He served as CEO and Vice Chairman from June 2018 to June 2024, and as President and Co-CEO from November 2013 to June 2018, after roles including Executive Vice President and Co-Chief Operating Officer and multiple Senior Vice President positions. Before joining TSMC in 1998 he was Senior Vice President of Technology at Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing in Singapore and a senior manager at STMicroelectronics; he holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Yale University.
