Ira Ehrenpreis has been a Tesla director since 2007 and chairs both the Compensation Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. He is an acknowledged leader in the energy, technology, impact and venture-capital industries and brings insights in corporate governance and strategic growth.
A venture capitalist since 1996, he is a founder and managing member of the impact-investing firm DBL Partners, formed in 2015, and previously led the Energy Innovation practice at Technology Partners. He holds a B.A. from UCLA and a J.D. and M.B.A. from Stanford University.
