3D Systems acquires Robtec

3D Systems acquired Robtec for $21.880 million, a transaction completed in November 2014, structured as Share purchase (70% at close; remainder on fifth anniversary), all cash.

Robtec operates in Services, is based in Brazil. 3D Systems agreed in April 2014 to acquire Robtec, a Sao Paulo, Brazil-based additive manufacturing service bureau that also distributed 3D printing and scanning products. The company took an initial 70% stake at closing, which occurred in November 2014, with the balance of the shares to follow on the fifth anniversary. Robtec gave 3D Systems a growth platform and local sales and service presence in Latin America.

Establish a South American services and distribution presence.

Integrated into service revenues.
