3M Company acquires Attenti Holdings S.A.

3M Company acquired Attenti Holdings S.A., a transaction completed in October 2010, structured as Acquisition.

Attenti Holdings S.A. operates in Track and Trace / Electronic Monitoring, is based in Israel / United States. Attenti, ultimate parent of Attenti Ltd. with major operations in Israel and the U.S., is a leading supplier of remote people-monitoring technologies used for offender monitoring (people awaiting trial or on probation) and to enhance patient safety in eldercare facilities. 3M bought the company from an investor group led by Francisco Partners, adding GPS and active radio-frequency capability to its track-and-trace portfolio.

Positions 3M's track-and-trace business as a leader in the high-growth electronic offender-monitoring market.
