Advanced Micro Devices acquires Mipsology SAS

Advanced Micro Devices acquired Mipsology SAS, a transaction completed in August 2023.

Mipsology SAS operates in AI software (inference optimization), is based in Palaiseau, France. AMD acquired Mipsology, a France-based AI software company and long-standing AMD partner, to deepen its AI inference software capabilities. Founded in 2015, Mipsology's flagship Zebra AI software supports TensorFlow, PyTorch and ONNX Runtime and helps accelerate AI workloads on AMD hardware. The team joined the AMD AI Group to help build the full AMD AI software stack and the Unified AI (UAI) Software Stack. Terms were not disclosed.

To strengthen AMD's AI software capabilities and expand its open ecosystem of tools, libraries and models for deploying AI on AMD adaptive-computing silicon.
