AMETEK acquires Land Instruments International Limited

AMETEK acquired Land Instruments International, a Dronfield, United Kingdom-based supplier of high-end analytical instrumentation, from an investor group led by 3i plc. Land Instruments offers a broad range of infrared temperature measurement, combustion efficiency and emissions monitoring instruments, including spot thermometers, line scanners and thermal imagers that measure temperatures up to 3,000 degrees Celsius for the metal, glass and mineral processing industries. The business had annual sales of roughly GBP 22 million (about $41 million) and, once combined, lifted AMETEK's high-end analytical instruments platform to nearly $500 million in annualized sales.

Expands AMETEK's high-end analytical instrument platform with industrial infrared temperature measurement, combustion efficiency and emissions monitoring instrumentation.
