BAXTER INTERNATIONAL INC acquired Alpha Therapeutic Corporation (assets) for $71M, a transaction completed in 2003, structured as Acquisition of certain assets (most significantly the Aralast alpha-1 antitrypsin therapeutic), with immediate divestiture of certain acquired assets to third parties.
