Danaher Corporation acquires AB Sciex and Molecular Devices

Danaher Corporation acquired AB Sciex and Molecular Devices for approximately $1.1 billion combined (acquired from MDS Inc. and Life Technologies), a transaction completed in January 2010.

AB Sciex and Molecular Devices operates in Life Sciences (mass spectrometry). In 2010 Danaher acquired AB Sciex and Molecular Devices, adding mass spectrometry and bioanalytical measurement to its life-sciences instrumentation business.

Expanded Danaher's life sciences instrumentation business, adding high-end mass spectrometry (AB Sciex) and bioanalytical measurement systems (Molecular Devices).
