HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL INC acquires Ballard Unmanned Systems

HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL INC acquired Ballard Unmanned Systems, a transaction announced in October 2020, structured as Asset acquisition (intellectual property, inventory and equipment).

Ballard Unmanned Systems operates in Aerospace, is based in Southborough, Massachusetts, USA. Honeywell acquired the key intellectual property, inventory and equipment of Ballard Unmanned Systems, a subsidiary of Ballard Power Systems that designs stored-hydrogen proton-exchange-membrane fuel-cell systems for unmanned aerial systems used in energy inspection, cargo delivery and defense. Ballard's fuel-cell team joined Honeywell to help build a family of fuel-cell power systems for UAS vehicles.

Strengthen Honeywell's unmanned aerial systems and urban air mobility portfolio with hydrogen fuel-cell power and thermal capabilities.
