HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL INC acquired Invensys Sensor Systems for $416 million, a transaction completed in October 2002, structured as Acquisition (all-cash).

Invensys Sensor Systems operates in Automation and Control Solutions (Sensing and Control), is based in Shelby, North Carolina, USA (13 facilities across six countries). Honeywell's Automation and Control Solutions business acquired Invensys Sensor Systems, a global supplier of sensors and controls used in medical, office-automation, aerospace, HVAC, automotive, off-road-vehicle and consumer-appliance applications. The business, headquartered in Shelby, North Carolina, operated 13 manufacturing facilities across six countries and became part of Honeywell's Sensing and Control unit.

Strengthen Honeywell's product offerings in the high-growth medical and automotive on-board sensing segments.
