HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL INC acquired Maxon Corporation for $185 million, a transaction completed in November 2007, structured as Acquisition.

Maxon Corporation operates in Automation and Control Solutions (Environmental and Combustion Controls; now Thermal Solutions), is based in Muncie, Indiana, USA. Maxon Corporation was a privately held Muncie, Indiana maker of industrial combustion equipment, including burners, gas valves and engineered systems for process heating. Honeywell acquired it to extend its Environmental and Combustion Controls business beyond residential and commercial markets into industrial process heat.

Move Honeywell's combustion-controls business into industrial process heating (petrochemicals, power, biofuels, metals).
