HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL INC acquired Zellweger Analytics, a transaction completed in Second quarter 2005, structured as Acquisition of privately held business; terms undisclosed.

Zellweger Analytics operates in Automation and Control Solutions (Life Safety), is based in Switzerland (Uster). Zellweger Analytics, based in Uster, Switzerland, was a global leader in toxic and flammable gas detection systems with roughly $170 million in annual sales, serving semiconductor, industrial and oil-and-gas customers. Honeywell placed it in the Life Safety unit of Automation and Control Solutions, entering the large and growing gas-detection market and complementing its fire systems and sensing portfolio.

Enter the large, growing gas-detection marketplace and broaden Honeywell's sensing and detection capabilities alongside its existing fire systems and sensors.
