Microsoft Corporation acquires Acompli

Microsoft Corporation acquired Acompli, a transaction announced in December 2014.

Acompli operates in Office Product Group (Outlook Mobile). Acompli built mobile email apps for iOS and Android that helped users manage mail across services with features for scheduling meetings and handling attachments. Microsoft acquired it to strengthen mobile productivity and accelerate delivery of Outlook and Office capabilities on mobile devices; the app became the foundation of Outlook Mobile.

Accelerate Microsoft's mobile email and productivity strategy as most email is first read on mobile devices.
