Microsoft Corporation acquired Bruce Artwick Organization Ltd., a transaction announced in December 1995.

Bruce Artwick Organization Ltd. operates in Consumer / games (Microsoft Flight Simulator), is based in Champaign, Illinois, United States. The Bruce Artwick Organization of Champaign, Illinois was the original developer of Microsoft Flight Simulator, the best-selling flight-simulation franchise Microsoft had published since the early 1980s. Microsoft acquired the studio to bring ongoing Flight Simulator development in-house within its consumer games group.
