Microsoft Corporation acquires Event Zero

Microsoft Corporation acquired Event Zero, a transaction announced in January 2016, structured as Acquisition of management, reporting and analytics technology assets.

Event Zero operates in Skype for Business Online / Office 365. Event Zero built management, reporting and analytics software (the UC Commander suite) for Skype for Business Online. Microsoft acquired the technology to add stronger diagnostics, troubleshooting and reporting for audio, video conferencing and media streams within Skype for Business and Office 365.

Microsoft wanted to give IT professionals powerful, easy-to-use management tools for a complete enterprise-grade communications solution at global scale with Office 365.
