Microsoft Corporation acquires Global Care Solutions

Microsoft Corporation acquired Global Care Solutions, a transaction announced in October 2007, structured as Acquisition of software, intellectual property, and assets.

Global Care Solutions operates in Health Solutions Group, is based in Asia-Pacific (initial deployments in the region). Global Care Solutions built enterprise-class hospital information systems—a fully integrated suite of about 50 clinical and back-office modules running on Microsoft technology. Microsoft acquired its software, intellectual property, and assets to expand the Health Solutions Group's healthcare portfolio internationally.

Add a scalable, internationally integrated hospital information system to Microsoft's healthcare portfolio, improving hospital workflow and patient safety.
