Microsoft Corporation acquired Hexadite, a transaction announced in June 2017.

Hexadite operates in Windows and Devices Group (Windows Defender ATP), is based in Boston, USA (research team in Tel Aviv, Israel). Hexadite delivers agentless, automated incident investigation and remediation for cybersecurity threats. Microsoft acquired it to add AI-based automatic investigation and remediation to Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection, speeding response to advanced cyberthreats.
