Microsoft Corporation acquires NCompass Labs

Microsoft Corporation acquired NCompass Labs, a transaction announced in April 2001, structured as Acquisition (terms not disclosed).

NCompass Labs operates in .NET Enterprise Server Division, is based in Canada (Vancouver, British Columbia) with U.S. offices in San Jose, California. NCompass Labs, headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia (with U.S. offices in San Jose), developed NCompass Resolution, a Web content-management system for building dynamic, personalized e-business sites on the Microsoft platform. Microsoft acquired it to meet customer demand for Web content management; the product was rebranded Microsoft Content Management Server 2001.

Add Web content-management technology to the .NET Enterprise Servers so customers could deploy end-to-end e-business solutions faster.
