Microsoft Corporation acquired Softomotive, a transaction announced in May 2020.

Softomotive operates in Microsoft Power Automate (Power Platform). Softomotive is a world-leading robotic process automation (RPA) provider with over 15 years of experience and the creator of WinAutomation, serving more than 9,000 global customers. Microsoft acquired it to add desktop RPA authoring to Power Automate and further democratize automation of Windows-based business processes.

Bring WinAutomation desktop RPA into Power Automate, expanding out-of-the-box UI automation for apps and services including SAP and legacy terminal applications.
