Microsoft Corporation acquires Teleo Inc.

Microsoft Corporation acquired Teleo Inc., a transaction announced in August 2005, structured as Acquisition (terms not disclosed).

Teleo Inc. operates in MSN Communication Services and Member Platform, is based in United States (San Francisco, California). Teleo was a San Francisco-based VoIP company (founded 2003) whose software let users place calls from a PC to traditional phones, with click-to-call integration into Outlook and Internet Explorer. Microsoft combined Teleo's technology and team with its existing MSN VoIP investments to build enhanced consumer communication products.

Add PC-to-phone VoIP technology and talent to MSN to improve consumer communication services.
