Parker-Hannifin Corp acquires John Fowler (India) Private Limited filtration business

Parker-Hannifin Corp acquired John Fowler (India) Private Limited filtration business, a transaction completed in July 2012, structured as Acquisition of the filtration business (asset/business purchase); terms not disclosed.

John Fowler (India) Private Limited filtration business operates in Filtration Group (International Industrial), is based in Bangalore, India. Parker acquired the filtration business of Bangalore-based John Fowler (India) Private Limited, which manufactures air, fuel and hydraulic filters for transportation and industrial applications. The acquired business had annual sales of roughly $4 million and employed 50 people. It was folded into Parker's Filtration Group with sales reported in the International Industrial segment.

Expands Parker's base business and end-market exposure in the strategically important Indian growth market, adding local manufacturing, product breadth and distribution/OEM relationships.
