PPG Industries acquires Industria Chimica Reggiana S.p.A

PPG Industries acquired Industria Chimica Reggiana S.p.A, a transaction completed in January 2020.

Industria Chimica Reggiana S.p.A operates in Automotive refinish coatings, is based in Italy. PPG acquired Industria Chimica Reggiana (ICR) S.p.A., an Italian manufacturer of coatings for the automotive refinish and light industrial markets, in early 2020, though financial terms were not disclosed. Founded in 1961, ICR produces refinish products such as putties, primers, basecoats and clear coats under the SPRINT brand. The company employs roughly 180 people and sells into more than 70 countries across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the United States and Latin America.
