ROCKWELL AUTOMATION, INC acquired SoftSwitching Technologies, a transaction completed in March 2012, structured as Asset purchase.

SoftSwitching Technologies operates in Control Products & Solutions, is based in United States. In March 2012 Rockwell Automation purchased the assets of SoftSwitching Technologies, a Middleton, Wisconsin provider of industrial power-quality detection and protection systems. Its battery-free products identify and correct brief power disruptions known as voltage sags, which account for much of the unscheduled downtime in manufacturing. The technology complemented Rockwell's existing power-quality offerings and plant-wide optimization capabilities.

Strengthened Rockwell's power-quality and plant-wide optimization portfolio and extended SoftSwitching's technology through Rockwell's global channel network.
