RESON is a leading supplier of multibeam sonar systems and specialty acoustic sensors for hydrography, marine infrastructure and offshore energy, with systems ranging from portable shallow-water units for AUVs to full-ocean-depth vessel-mounted oceanographic systems. The business now operates as Teledyne RESON.

RESON was Teledyne's thirteenth marine-instrumentation acquisition; combined with BlueView and Optech it gave Teledyne 3D marine imaging across aircraft, platforms, surface vessels and AUVs over a wide range of distances and depths.
