Universal Health Services acquired Prominence Health Plan, a transaction completed in April 2014.

Prominence Health Plan operates in Acute Care / Insurance, is based in United States (Reno, Nevada). UHS acquired and funded the required capital reserves of Prominence Health Plan, a commercial health insurer headquartered in Reno, Nevada, during the second quarter of 2014. The deal extended UHS beyond hospital operations into managed care in its Nevada markets. Per-transaction terms were not separately disclosed.
