Dr. Carl L. G. Hansen is AbCellera's co-founder and has served as Chief Executive Officer, President and Chairman of the Board since the company's inception in November 2012. He co-founded Precision NanoSystems Inc., a Vancouver-based developer of non-viral delivery technology for genetic medicines, and served on its board from January 2011 to September 2015. Until August 2019 he was a professor at the University of British Columbia, where he co-authored more than 65 manuscripts in microfluidics, immunology, genomics and nanotechnology, and he previously sat on the scientific advisory board of Fluidigm Corporation.
