Loren M. Starr joined the Affiliated Managers Group Board of Directors as an independent director in September 2023 and has served as independent Board Chair since July 2025, succeeding Dwight D. Churchill. He has served on each Board committee during his tenure.

He retired from Invesco Ltd. in March 2021, having served as its Chief Financial Officer for 15 years from 2005 to 2020 and then in an executive advisory role as Vice Chair. Before Invesco he was Chief Financial Officer of Janus Capital Group Inc. from 2001 to 2005 and held senior corporate finance roles at Putnam Investments, Lehman Brothers Inc., and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC. He is currently an independent consultant and a board member of the Nuveen Fund complex, and holds a B.A. and B.S. from Columbia University, an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School, and an M.S. from Carnegie Mellon University.
