Karen Dearing was appointed to the Agree Realty board in December 2020. She served as Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary of Sun Communities, Inc. (NYSE: SUI) from 2008 to April 2022 and as a Senior Advisor to Sun Communities' United Kingdom investments until January 2025.

At Sun Communities she previously served as Senior Vice President (2006-2008), Corporate Controller (2002-2006) and Director of Finance (1998-2002). Earlier she spent over seven years as financial controller of a privately owned automotive supplier and over four years as a certified public accountant with Deloitte.

She holds a B.S. in accounting from Michigan State University and is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the AICPA and MICPA.
