Christenson is an independent director of IDEX who brings extensive public company leadership experience through his long tenure as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Altra Industrial Motion Corp., a global manufacturer of electromechanical power transmission and motion control products. His background reflects broad experience leading industrial businesses and a proven ability to accelerate growth while executing strategic acquisitions.

During his leadership, Altra completed its approximately $3 billion transaction with Fortive in 2018 and was acquired by Regal Rexnord Corporation for $4.95 billion in 2023. Mr. Christenson holds an M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and both an M.S.M.E. and a B.S.M.E. from the University of Massachusetts.
