In 2025, approximately 35% of Boeing's revenues were earned pursuant to U.S. government contracts (including Foreign Military Sales), primarily defense-related programs with the U.S. Department of War (formerly the Department of Defense) and agencies such as NASA. Non-U.S. customers, including Foreign Military Sales through the U.S. government, accounted for 46% of total revenues and 60% of Commercial Airplanes revenue from customer contracts. Commercial airplane sales are concentrated among a limited number of major airline customers and aircraft leasing companies worldwide.
